Overdue Recognition Art Gallery "3"
Bowie Town Center (3:00 P.M)
Last Wednesday, I drove to Bowie town center to attend an event at the Overdue Recognition Art Gallery. There were nice sculptures, paintings, and books of designs, exhibition design, and film art. Woodrow Nash studios had great designs on their sculptures. Their designs on these sculptures were functional and aesthetically pleasing. When looking in the gallery, it was interesting to see not one but two areas of sculpture. Although they were two different art pieces, they portrayed the themes of “Exhibition Design” due to them following the same artistic theme while both being on public display. There was a nice painting with a young black girl with stars, flowers, and protesting in the picture. The painting is phenomenal because this design gives the audience an understanding message. Lastly, it was a book that was called “A Tribute To Muhammad Ali” Greatest Of All Time. This book ties in with film that I learned in VDCM because this book was a work of visual art that simulates experiences and communicate stories about Muhammad Ali.
